Carlo Cavalletti has worked for almost forty years in the field of music popularisation and organisation.
From 1985 to 1999, he collaborated permanently with RAI, producing and conducting all the main Radio Tre programmes dedicated to classical music.
From 1989 to 1993, Cavalletti was editor-in-chief of the magazine “Musica e Dossier” and from 1995 to 1997, he worked at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, taking care of publishing.
Since 1990, he has been teaching music history in various conservatories: he currently teaches at the one in Perugia.
Cavalletti has written theatre programmes and given lectures and concert-lessons for many leading musical institutions and is the author of a children’s book entitled “Chopin and Romantic Music” as well as the essay “Rota’s musical theatre” in the book “Nino Rota” (EDT).

From 1996 to 2006, Carlo was a member of the artistic committee of the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, actively participating in the artistic direction.
In 1997, Cavalletti was responsible for the organisation and programming of Rai Radio Tre broadcasts and in 1999 he was artistic coordinator of the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano.
From 2000 to 2005, he was artistic coordinator of the Accademia Filarmonica Romana.
Since 2005, Cavalletti has been artistic director of four editions of the Cantiere di Montepulciano.
In 2009, he set up an artist management agency, which has taken the name Cavartists in 2011.
Born in Rome, Cavalletti holds a diploma in piano and studied music history at La Sapienza University in his city, first with Fedele D’Amico and then with Pierluigi Petrobelli.
Since 2006 he lives in Montepulciano, Tuscany.
