In the past season, Giulia Rimonda embarked on a series of major engagements, including a tour with the North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra della Toscana. She made her debut at the Grand Amphitheatre of the Sorbonne in Paris with the Orchestre COSU Sorbonne, performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, and began a three-year residency with the Orchestra Filarmonica Campana, opening with Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3.
She also performed at the Quirinale, broadcast live on Rai Radio 3, at the Teatro dei Rozzi in Siena, and at the opening concert of Villa Musica Stiftung.

Throughout 2024 Giulia has collaborated with acclaimed musicians such as Kian Soltani, Marc Bouchkov, Adrien La Marca, Sarah Willis, Avi Avital, Petrit Ceku and Kerson Leong, and performed under the direction of renowned conductors including Nikolaj Znaider, Umberto Clerici, Alfonso Scarano, and Emmanuel Tjeknavorian.
A recipient of several awards, Giulia was an artist-in-residence at the Società dei Concerti di Milano and won the Giovanna Maniezzo Prize from the Accademia Chigiana.
She has also won the Roscini-Padalino Prize 2022 from the Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica and received scholarships from Settimane del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza, Stiftung Villa Musica (2024–2027), the Accademia Chigiana, CIDIM for the “Talenti Musicali Italiani nel Mondo” project, and Associazione De Sono of Turin as a 2024 scholar.
Giulia regularly performs at prestigious festivals and concert series such as the Royal Opera House of Muscat, Havana Classica Festival of Havana, Amphitheatre Richelieu of Paris, Società dei Concerti of Trieste, Micat in Vertice, Amici della Musica di Firenze, Società dei Concerti di Bolzano, Bologna Festival, Perugia Musica Classica and Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese. She has represented Italy with performances at the Italian Embassies and Institutes of Culture in China (Beijing), Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Munich), Norway (Oslo), Kuwait (Kuwait City), Cuba (Havana).
Giulia has studied with Boris Garlitsky in Paris since 2022, and was a resident at the Maison de l’Italie (2022–2024). In June 2024, she was admitted to the Solistenexamen program with Sergey Khachatryan at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe.
Born in Turin in 2002, she began studying violin at the age of four with her father and graduated with honors at seventeen while following the courses of Accademia Chigiana in Siena and Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She has participated in masterclasses with Leonidas Kavakos (Athens, 2022), Gil Shaham (Cremona, 2023), and Sergey Khachatryan (Colmar, 2023).
Giulia has been featured in several RAI broadcasts, including her Parisian debut with Tchaikovsky’s concerto (March 2024 – Rai News), a documentary celebrating the centenary of the Accademia Chigiana (November 2023 – Rai 5), live performances from the Quirinale (January 2024 – Rai Radio 3), and a tribute to Marcel Proust (November 2022 – Rai Radio 3).
As a chamber musician, she frequently collaborates with pianist Lorenzo Nguyen (Trio Concept – ex Chagall). In March 2024, they released a CD for Suonare News featuring works by Respighi, Ravel, and Dvořák. At fifteen years old, Giulia recorded Leclair’s Sonata for Two Violins No. 2, Op. 3 for Decca Universal on the album Le Violon Noir II alongside her father, Guido Rimonda. At nineteen years old, she joined Archi Magazine’s team for the online series “Staccato,” collaborating with artists like Renaud Capuçon, Julian Rachlin, Vadim Repin, Luigi Piovano, Giovanni Gnocchi, and the Quartetto di Cremona at leading Italian concert venues.
Giulia performs on a 1720 Domenico Montagnana violin and a 1983 Dario Vernè violin, named Al tuo cammino, generously donated by the Vernè family.
